The annual Pisgah Project Bike Raffle returns this year with another custom bike that looks even sweeter than past offerings.
The project brings together bike makers to build a one-of-kind bicycle — and then auction it off raffle-style. That means a $25 raffle ticket gives you the chance to win a bike valued at more than $10,000.
The raffle is a fundraising project that benefits the Pisgah Conservancy, which helps maintain the Pisgah National Forest outside of Asheville, NC. In the five years since the raffle’s inception, The Pisgah Project has raised over $175,000.
Just looking at this gorgeous ride makes us want to reach for the wallet and buy as many tickets as possible. It’s made possible primarily by Cane Creek Cycling Components, with additional support from other bike makers. They include: YT Industries, Industry Nine, Crankbrothers, Fizik Saddles, Continental Tires, Thomson Bike, TRP Cycling and Endless Bike Co.
See The Bike In Person
By participating in the raffle, supporters invest in clean streams, maintained trails and a thriving environment, the Pisgah Project wrote in a press release.
That brings together a broad swath of the outdoor community, the nonprofit said. More than just mountain bikers, the group listens to hikers, equestrians, backpackers, fishermen and others.
But you don’t have to win to see this righteous ride in person. The Pisgah Project is taking it on the road for a tour of North Carolina before announcing the raffle winner on Dec. 15.
