New year, new color? The seems to be the case for Pivot and their Switchblade. After undergoing a complete makeover in early 2020, Pivot is giving the incredible bike yet another option when it comes to the finish.

Pivot Switchblade Mojave new color option

With a name like Mojave, Pivot draws on the inspiration of the desert for their newest colorway. Sort of a dusty greyish-tan with dark blue graphics, the Mojave option is a stark contrast to the bright Horizon Blue or Treeline Green options first offered.

Other than the color, this is the same bike that Pivot introduced in 2020. A bike that was so good, it easily landed my award for Editor’s Choice. By the numbers, it has 142mm of rear dw-link suspension travel with a new vertical shock arrangement, 160mm travel up front, 29″ or 27.5+ wheels and tires, updated geo, proper tire clearance for up to 29 x 2.6″, Super Boost 157mm rear axle spacing, and plenty of room for bottles and accessories thanks to the Pivot Phoenix Accessory mount.

Pivot Switchblade Mojave new color option factory build

Available now in all three colors, prices for the Switchblade start at $5,599 for the Race XT build. As usual, Pivot has a ton of options for builds and upgrades including carbon wheels and Fox Live Valve suspension.

this is the biggest load of marketing BS i have ever read. last time i looked at the Mojave desert it was red. not dirty white. this looks like the patch of ice under a penguin colony.

Love it. Easier to mix and match colored components now. Perfect.

What crap, of all the colours Mother Nature has to offer they sign off on something nondescript.

I planned to settle for one of the two color options that did not get me excited about wanting a switchblade. I really like the neutral option to interchange accessories with multiple colors options as I build the frame out. Very happy with the new color choice now off to order mine.
