The 2018 Pivot Phoenix is here, and well, it’s not much different than the 2017 version. Specifically, there are two new frame colors added to the mix. Now, adding new colors to a bike is hardly breaking news, but it illustrates how advanced the platform was with its last major overhaul in 2014. The bike got a facelift in 2016 as well, though that was more about making it lighter, stiffer, and giving it more tire clearance than the big shift from 26 to 27.5″ in 2014.
Starting this weekend, you might spot Bernard Kerr on the new Aqua Blue Phoenix in Chile at the Red Bull Valpariso Cerro Abajo urban DH race.
Pivot will also be offering a Sterling Silver and yellow version that’s only slightly more subdued.
Both will be available as a frame only for $3,399, a frame kit for $5,199, or as a complete bike with a Shimano Zee kit at $5,399 or Shimano Saint for $7,499. Add in a set of carbon wheels and you’re looking at $8,799 with Saint.
The bikes are available now in S-XL frames.
