Who says bottle cages have to be boring? Portland Design Works has landed with their newest product, the Owl Cage. Adding to their collection of bird themed water bottle cages, the Owl Cage looks like it will be a perfect big brother to their Bird Cage. And like most PDW products, it comes with its own entertaining launch video…

Stamped from 5052 aluminum alloy, the Owl Cage provides an aggressive hold on the water bottle through its closed wings. Shipped with two stainless bolts, the cage has a slotted lower opening to account for variances in mounting bolts.

The cage might be a bit heavier than carbon or plastic options, but the sturdy construction should proved to last as well as add style to your ride. Available with either gold or silver details, both cages retail for $20.

@titeass their swallow birdcage is $2o. With the extra work on this one I’d have thought around $30-40 tops.

What’s really awesome is that the woman in the video is Leah, who owns a female-friendly Portland bike shop (Gladys).
