When it comes to solving the little compatibility problems that quietly drive us nuts, Problem Solvers is one of the best brands out there. The small brand focuses exclusively on creating parts that make working on, fixing, or riding your bike just a little more enjoyable – like if you want to match up your shifters to your brake levers for a cleaner, more ergonomic cockpit.

Problem Solvers points out that when it comes to SRAM, things are pretty simple. They’ve used their MatchMaker design for more than 10 years. But when it comes to Shimano, things get a little more tricky. Along with the introduction of XTR M9100, we’re blessed with yet another I-Spec standard, I-Spec EV. To help riders navigate the compatibility of  I-Spec I (A and B)I-Spec II, and I-Spec EV, Problem Solvers has put together these handy charts to make it easier than ever to  MisMatch and ReMatch your components.

AKA, nothing yet to use iSpec EV with older versions of iSpec! I hope ProblemSolvers and Wolftooth are working on this!

Not sure I’d call a QBP owned company a “small brand”

Depends on what you think “small brand” means. Yes, QBP is a big company, but the brands within QBP are run pretty independently. Most have their own managers, engineers, designers, etc, and most of those people don’t work with, or work in a very limited capacity with, the other QBP brands. Among the QBP brands, Problem Solvers is one of the smaller ones.
