The most recognizable kit in the peloton is about to ride into the sunset. Rapha and EF Pro Cycling have announced that 2025 will mark the final year of their seven-year partnership, one that didn’t just outfit a team, but reshaped what pro cycling could look like. From the iconic pink to the wild Palace collaborations, the duo brought energy, creativity, and personality to a sport that too often plays it safe.

When Rapha first partnered with EF in 2019, it wasn’t just about kit design. Together, they introduced an attitude, a sense that the WorldTour could be more human, more expressive, and a whole lot more fun.

The “Alternative Calendar” saw riders trade in their race radios for adventure, showing up at Unbound Gravel, Leadville, and the Cape Epic. Lachlan Morton’s solo Alt Tour captured global attention and redefined what “racing” could mean.

And those Palace kits? The Giro d’Italia ducks and Tour de France Femmes collab didn’t just break the internet, they brought new eyes (and cultures) into cycling.

On the road, the partnership delivered too. EF riders in Rapha kit won on every stage, literally, taking victories at the Tour de France, Giro, and Vuelta, as well as monuments like Flanders and Paris-Roubaix Femmes. Meanwhile, Rapha’s Pro Team line evolved in tandem with the athletes. Together developing faster speed suits, better weather protection, and a kit designed around real race demands, not just wind tunnel tests.

Rapha CEO Fran Millar summed it up: “This partnership has been nothing short of seismic.” And she’s right. The collaboration blended art and performance, influencing how the entire industry approaches team identity.

EF Pro Cycling CEO Jonathan Vaughters echoed that sentiment: “We made some noise, brought new people into our sport, and that’s the hallmark of a successful partnership.”

EF Pro Cycling | Rapha Limited Editions – Final Call

To close out their run, Rapha will release three limited-edition jerseys that celebrate the journey. But like all the Rapha limited edition series, once these are gone, they are gone.

  • Crashed the Party, a collage of past Rapha + EF designs in the team’s signature pink.
  • Changed the Game, a white jersey commemorating the team’s most significant victories.
  • Back to Blackout, a nod to the minimalist kit that started it all in 2019—and my personal favorite.

Each design marks the end of a chapter in modern cycling. An era where the peloton finally looked as wild, creative, and unpredictable as the sport itself.

Rapha says it’s “leaving the WorldTour—for now.” If history’s any guide, they’ll be back. But no matter what’s next, this partnership will go down as one of the most influential in pro cycling’s modern era. Proof that performance and personality don’t have to be at odds, and that sometimes, the best way to stand out in the peloton is to be different.

I hope this wont negatively affect the EF/ Rapha sponsored young lady from Sherbrooke Quebec Magdeleine Vallieres, for the upcoming year….seems a crime if her sponsors pull out after such a significant achievement

Rapha has been in financial trouble for some time now. This is likely about them trying to get into the black more than anything else. EF is a successful team for their size, they’ll secure a sponsor to fill the gap.
