Rapha reveal rad new Women’s Canyon SRAM Pro Team Road Cycling Range

Under the banner of their Women’s Campaign, Rapha have launched the new Canyon SRAM Pro Team road cycling kit. The new range includes the Pro Team Aero Jersey and Training Jersey, the Pro Team Long Sleeve Aero Jersey, Pro Team Bib Shorts, Canyon SRAM Core Bib Shorts, and a range of accessories including a Canyon SRAM Snood, Cap, Water Bottle and Pro Team Socks. All feature the same stunning eye-catching design by Rapha Designer, Angelo Trofa. The design is inspired by classic comic book art, and is about showing the superhero within. Rapha Canyon SRAM Pro Team Aero Jersey

The Women’s Canyon SRAM Pro Team Aero Jersey is a lightweight, aerodynamic short sleeve jersey for racing. Wind tunnel testing and cutting-edge materials combine in the design of the Aero Jersey, Rapha’s fastest racewear ever. Leading edges utilise smooth fabrics and trailing surfaces use rough textures with bonded seams for an aerodynamic advantage, helping the rider cut through the air.

Smooth fabrics on the front and textured at the back add an aerodynamic advantage. The back panel’s material has a directional nap – smooth in one direction, rough in the other – that minimises drag and gives a figure-hugging fit. The light and stretchy material has bonded tape inside to support your pockets when you fill them. Inside the pockets, mesh aids breathability at your lower back.

Women’s Canyon SRAM Pro Team Bib Shorts

Designed for comfort when the race is on, the Canyon SRAM Women’s Pro Team Bibs use a soft yet slightly compressive fabric. Cut for comfort in an on-bike position, the shorts feature Rapha’s women’s specific chamois pad, used by their pro riders during their toughest training rides and most intense race efforts.

A minimal seam construction creates a streamlined shape to prevent fabric from bunching at the hips, and low-profile, wide leg grippers keep everything in place. The uppers are printed with the oil slick design that adorns the team jersey and are made of a high-stretch mesh fabric that is fast-drying and high-wicking for comfort on hotter days. Flat, bonded seams sit close to the skin to prevent rubbing or chafing. A single radio pocket is positioned on the lower back for use in races.

The main body of the Pro Team Bib Shorts is composed of 78% and 22% elastane. The mesh is made up of 80% polyamide and 20% elastane, while the Pad is 100% Polyamide. The bibs are available in sizes XXS up to XL and are priced at £195.

This Canyon SRAM Pro Team training jersey is suited to a range of conditions with a slightly less compressive fit. Designed for training in warm or mild conditions, the jersey is made with a breathable, high-stretch fabric that wicks well to regulate temperature. Mesh side panels provide additional ventilation and stretch for comfort on the bike. The collar’s minimal profile prevents irritation with a subtle zip guard. The full-length zipper makes it easy to regulate temperature after tough efforts, while three reinforced pockets on the back of the jersey expand to take all your ride essentials and incorporate a lightweight, perforated fabric for improved airflow at the base of the back. The training jersey is available in sizes XXS through to XL, and will set you back £85.

Cut from a high-stretch fabric, the Canyon SRAM Core bib shorts give supportive and fully opaque coverage. Seams are kept to a minimum and are carefully positioned to prevent chafing and a proprietary chamois – which also appears in the Women’s Classic Shorts – adds comfort, even on day-long rides.

Laser-cut leg grippers, lined with soft silicone create a soft and flattering fit, and prevent the shorts from bunching and moving out of position.
