Ray's mountain bike pump track

Adding another thing to the list to make me feel old, Ray’s Mountain Bike Park is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year – which means I’ve been making the trek up to Cleveland every winter for 10 years. The big news this season, for Cleveland at least, is the introduction of their brand new dirt pump track! Built in what used to be their dirt jump room, the indoor-but-sort-of-open-air building now houses an impressive looking pump track crafted by renowned builders Elitetrax and PumptraxUSA. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the pump track once Winter hits in a big way it will be shut down until Spring. So if you want to ride a pump track that was built by the same crew who builds for the Olympics, you had better hurry.

Want more details on the coming season at both Ray’s locations? Find it after the break.

Ray's 2013 2014 info

In addition to the pump track, both locations offer redesigned XC loops which is good if you’ve spent hours doing laps. If you’re looking to improve, both locations are offering free lessons Saturdays at 10am, and Milwaukee has a new Chipotle Novice section to boot.

Ray's season pass

Annual passes are on sale for $349 valid Sat. Oct. 5, 2013 through Sun. April 27, 2014, and include some swag as well as 2 guest passes to introduce someone new to the action or the sport. Otherwise, day passes are $20.99 on weekdays, $26.99 on weekends, and $45.99 for a two day Sat-Sun pass, and $55.99 for a three day Fri-Sun pass. BMX Nights are still held Sundays after 4pm, entry is $12.99.

Redline_600

There are a number of special events planned for the season like the Redline Flight School and Time Trial held on December 14th at Cleveland, and December 21st at Milwaukee.

Calendar

If you live anywhere near Cleveland, OH or Milwaukee, WI, don’t let winter get you down and head to Ray’s. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Going to make the trip from good ole Richmond, VA in just a few weeks. This will be a great time to test the Kona Downside on a real pump track.
