Dropper post or suspension seat post? Soon you won’t have to choose. Showing what they believe to be the first combination dropper post and suspension seatpost, Redshift Sports will have new options for both gravel bikes and mountain bikes in the near future.

Using the same adjustable suspension system as their ShockStop seatpost, the new ShockDrop adds in a dropper post function below for the best of both worlds.

To be available in both MTB and Gravel/Road/CX configurations, the two versions will both have 35mm of suspension travel, but different dropper travel. The 27.2mm seatpost will have 60mm of dropper travel, while the larger 30.9 or 31.6mm posts bump up to 100mm of dropper travel. Fitted with internal cable routing and adjustable spring rate and preload, the seat posts are prototypes for now with price TBD.

This little fender on the original ShockStop posts caught our eye as it should help keep all the internal bits of the post clean. Redshift mentioned that everything inside the post is sealed and impervious to the elements, but the magnetic fender just helps keep things cleaner and looking/working better over the long run.

Not enough hand positions? Time to throw in the Kitchen Sink. Redshift’s new drop bar will come in two versions – one with the integrated aero loop shown above, and the other without it. To be available in 44, 46, and 48cm widths measured at the hoods, the bars feature a 25° flare, 70mm reach, 110mm drop, 12° sweep, and 20mm rise.

To be sold in multiple size options to fit different hand sizes, there are two different grips – one that goes under the tape on the bar tops and one that goes over the tape on the drop. Note that the bar tape doesn’t come all the way to the end of the bar, so the grip only covers and inch or so of bar tape. The upper grip is a clam shell design that clamps to the bar. Everything shown above is still a prototype and therefor pricing and availability is TBD.
