This year UK bag maker Restrap has been expanding capabilities, bringing last holdouts like seam-sealing in-house. Another part of that seems to be new fabric printing ability, plus new equipment that just lets them play around a bit more. So to celebrate, Restrap are introducing the first of a series of Limited Run products. They will be offered for a limited time in small quantities, featuring some of their most popular products.
The first run called Contours includes three sizes of frame bags, a heavy-duty musette, and a durable bi-fold wallet, all made from fully waterproof fabrics.

With new equipment, Restrap said it was play time. So they sat down at the cutting table and one contour at a time transferred the lines off to be heat-pressed into the olive Cordura fabric, and then laser-etched the design into some black Hypalon fabrics.
Restrap Limited Run 01/ Contours Frame Bags
Restrap’s frame bags use a durable 1000D Cordura outer waterproof laminate fabric and waterproof zippers to keep your gear protected from the elements on your bike. These 125mm tall frame packs ( in three different lengths) offer a good bit of easy to access storage inside your main triangle, while usually still allowing use of one or both water bottles.
I personally use the medium sized bag across a number of different road, gravel & cyclocross bikes (sizes 54-58cm), and have found it to be the easiest to swap from bike-to-bike with the most universal fit. The bag has a flat left side pocket for thin items and a full width right/driveside pocket with a couple of mesh internal organizer pouches. The bags also provide a cable slot to allow for charging while riding.
The Limited Run 01 bag is available for pre-order now for £50 for size small, £70 for a medium, and £85 for large.

The Restrap Musette is probably the most heavy-duty feedbag you’ll encounter on the bike. Again made from waterproof olive green Cordura with the Contour heat transfer design, the special edition £28 bags get double snap closure and a wide adjustable shoulder strap.

Carrying on the simple, durable mantra, the wallet is a bi-fold with a pair of laser-cut credit card slots, a sleeve for cash, and an elastic loop band that keeps it all securely shut. The £25 Limited Run wallet uses the same thin, wear-resistant & waterproof Dark Hypalon fabric that gets the Contour pattern etched into it with lasers!
Restrap have started producing the first Limited Run 01 products with the Contours design in their Yorkshire workshop, but they aren’t slated to be ready to ship out to buyers until Jan 21, 2019.
