Forgive my stupidity, but exactly why do motocross racers need sports supplements?

Well I don’t ride motoX, but after a long technical descent on a mountain bike my body can be pretty tired from throwing a 35lb bike around. Now try doing that with a heavy moto(how much do they weigh idk??), plus hold onto a really powerful motor and I would imagine that it is quite a bit more of a work out than just sitting and twisting your right wrist…

I ride motocross, mountain bike and road bike. The hardest of all of them by far is motocross. You use every single muscle in your body. Like T.S. said above throwing around a couple hundred pound motorcycle is very physically demanding. You also need to stay sharp to be able to make multiple adjustments at the same time every second. At a race pace things are happening so much faster on a dirt bike than a typical bicycle and is extremely tiring.

I laugh at people that say what’s so hard, you have a motor? Then they try it and say ok you’re right it’s harder.
