Scott Bikes is spreading the word on their 2010 product line changes. The well respected CR1 road bike has conceded to the supremacy of Scott’s flagship road bike, the Addict, and has been redesigned with a new M.O. (modus operandi). The 2010 CR1 will lose a little of its raciness in exchange for comfort and extended rideability. The CR1 will never be a beach cruiser, but Scott hopes to capitalize on a more relaxed audience who still want to go fast.

The Addict will remain virtually the same other than getting new color schemes.ÂÂ
The Scale hardtail mountain bike line will be getting a 29er for 2010. Although diehard 29er enthusiasts may be bummed about not getting a full carbon version, Scott believes the aluminum frame bike (priced around $1599) will offer riders a “high performance” bike at a great price.

Scott will also be offering their comprehensive soft-good lines to the American market. Including footwear and apparel but not helmets yet. (2009 images above)
