BMC and Teton Gravity Research have teamed up to produce a three-part video series that offers a deeper look into the stunning riding that the Swiss Alps have to offer. It isn’t just skiing, cheese, and chocolate. They’ve even got contest live now that will send you and a riding buddy to experience the Swiss trails firsthand and ride away on a new BMC.
Clip in across the fold and see if you can follow the wheels in the videos of a small group of pro BMC riders as they explore the trails Switzerland offers to mountain bikers…
Mountain biking in Switzerland offers has a bit of a different character than the rest of Europe and is worlds away from the riding we know in North America. In this first episode 2 Americans – pro rider Brice Shirbach, and pro skier Carston Oliver – head to Zermatt to ride some unparalleled alpine singletrack.
For the second Singletrack Switzerland episode, the pair venture to Verbier for wide open alpine singletrack, some bike park action, summing up thousands upon thousands of vertical feet with the Epic Europe guide company.
In the final episode the guys join Enduro World Series destroyer Francois Baily-Maître to hit up the Jungfrau region, where they got to explore some lesser-known trails in a region with a rich mountaineering and outdoor sport history. Nothing beats shuttling trails on public transit, linking together trains, funiculars, and even gondolas to descend a couple thousand meters a day without some guide service.
As to the contest, one winner and their friend from the US will be whisked away on their choice of one of Epic Europe’s guided mountain bike trips in Switzerland, including round-trip airfare for 2 on Swiss Air, Swiss Rail Passes and one new BMC Switzerland 2016 Trailfox 3 mountain bike for the winner. Enter until the end of May on Teton Gravity’s contest page.
