You know Danny MacAskill is getting big when Microsoft wants him to “recreate Cortana’s Signature Halo.” What better way to do that then to create one of the biggest full loops ever ridden on a bike. And then put it on a barge in the middle of the river Thames. Coming in at 5 meters or nearly 16.5′ in diameter, as usual Danny makes it look easy.
It’s no full loop, but racing a tandem during a cyclocross race is also a bit nuts. That and more after the jump….
From Microsoft:
Cortana, the most personal digital assistant, and Danny MacAskill, world-renowned trials cyclist, have successfully completed one of the world’s largest loop-the-loop challenges ever cycled…and it’s on water! Danny MacAskill rode round a monumental 5-metre loop, illuminating the Cortana signature halo in front of one of London’s most iconic landmarks in the process, all on the River Thames.
Microsoft Lumia’s personal assistant Cortana knows what you want and how to #MakeItHappen. With Cortana’s proactive help and handy alerts, Danny MacAskill was able to plan his biggest cycling event ever.
Cortana acted as Danny’s personal assistant throughout his training for the event, arranging his meetings, setting appointment reminders, playing his favourite music, warning for bad weather and providing maps.

This one comes from Josh Stricker and RPI cycling and involves a fairly old looking tandem, two riders, and yes, a cyclocross course. Pure Tandamonium.
Completely out of left field, Beat Down is a short film from the Camp 4 Collective. Fair warning, it has a split second of nudity for seemingly no reason at all which will probably make it NSFW. If you can get past that, it’s a pretty entertaining clip that includes base jumping with a bike!

Looks like Norco has some pretty big news coming up about their 2015 Factory Racing Team.
If Jerome Clementz’ and Pauline Dieffenthaler’s riding doesn’t get your pulse racing as they shred mountain tops in Indonesia, well, I feel bad for you son.
ESCAPE – MOUNT RINJANI – Indonesia Lombok
“Sometimes a project gets stuck in your mind. It can makes no sense, but you can’t stop thinking about it, until that time comes and you make the dream a reality.”
Jey went to Indonesia 5 years ago and did a trekking to climb the Mount Rinjani during 3 days. He was amazed about the landscape and the view from the top of this 2nd highest volcano of Indonesia (3726 meters high). During the hiking back, he was thinking that it could be much more fun by bike. That’s why he wants to come back to reach the summit with his bike.
Discover the first shoot of Jérôme and Pauline’s ride. A making-off will come in 2 weeks to share with you the inside of the adventures!
