Copenhagen-based Simple has added a few colours to its traditionally black and white range. In addition to chrome, the brand’s new rims – the Plainin and Keypit – will be available in purple, green or teal.

Both rims are designed with 36 angled spoke holes, which are offset from the middle for cross lacing. By doing so the manufacturer has greatly increased wheel stiffness. Simple also now offers complete wheel builds.

With what seems like a gradually phasing out of railed saddles, Simple’s titanium rail ‘Front Row’ saddle is also worth checking out. In a market that’s constantly chasing the latest lightweight gear, it’s good to see a saddle with a decent amount of padding remaining. The ‘Front Row’ is also available at reduced cost with chromoly rails.
