For more than 10 years, SHRED. Optics and Slytech protection have existed side by side. First launched by Olympic champion Ted Ligety and MIT grad Carlo Salmini in 2006, SHRED Optics was born through a single set of goggles, while Slytech launched a soft back protector. As sister companies, SHRED Optics and Slytech have been growing ever since, and now they’re merging into a single brand.
Now both brands will be a part of the same family simply called SHRED. The new name will encompass protective gear and eyewear for both snow sports and mountain biking, with SHRED. gear featuring Slytech technology.
While many of the products already bear the SHRED. logo, the rest will be changing over to roll everything into one brand.
