Without even trying this grip on a bike, we’re assuming ODI is going to do very well with it. What mountain biker hasn’t had a pair of Vans in their life? Well, now ODI is bringing the iconic waffle pattern to the world of Lock On grips. Made from thermoplastic rubber, the lock on grips feature the same reinforcement as the shoe’s sole on one end of the grip to place where you tend to wear your grips more. There is even a checkerboard lock on collar option.
The Vans lock ons will be available next month with all of the same grip features you’ve come to expect from ODI.
In other news, ODI has purchased the hood brand, hüdz, and will continue to manufacture the grips for Cam Zink’s grip brand, Sensus. The good news for hüdz is that riders will continue to be able to find colored hoods for their shifter, only now they will be made to ODI’s strict quality standards. As for Sensus, this is the first time I got to feel the grips in person and if you love soft grips like Animal Edwins, these are for you.
