How do you make a splash at a tradeshow after all your bikes have already been released? Custom paint is a good start. Even better when that custom paint includes wild designs that are done by hand. Even better – this over the top Tracer 275 may actually appear in an upcoming commercial for the latest electric car for BMW…
Painstakingly finished by hand, this black, white, and blue creation is the work of Jason Guthrie of Chainline Bikes in El Cajon, Ca. It’s one of those paint jobs that gets more detailed the longer you stare at it. Supposedly the blue accents are for the tie-in with BMW.
Jason also had his hands on this bright M16 which isn’t quite as intricate as the Tracer, but is just as (if not more) eye catching.
Then there is the new Spider 275 of Intense’s Sam Wilson. Dubbed Samouflage, the finish is so stealthy that look straight on and you might not even notice…
But look at it close up…
Or at the right angle, and you really start to notice all of the details.
The camouflage touches are everywhere. The more I studied it, the more I liked it. Is this the way to make camo classy?
Finally, Chappy Fiene had his own Tracer 275 on display. Not quite as over the top as the other bikes, but if you like your bikes clean and green, this is hard to beat.
