With the arrival of the Tour de France comes fresh gear and designs from brands attempting to gain the attention of the masses. Marcel Kittel is on an example of Specialized’s creativity with a unique color scheme on the S-Works Venge ViAS which he rode to an incredibly close victory over Bryan Coquard for stage 4.

Apparently, the main objective of the graphics team was to create a representation of both speed and power – perfect for a stage winning sprinter then. The team found their muse in the Switzerland based CERN particle accelerator that creates colorful sharp lines when explosions occur between two ions (related to the top tube).
The paint used on the majority of the frame features silver and chrome, causing the bike to pop with the colorful detailing. The explosions also extend to the Romin Evo saddle bundling the entire package in a similar design. Kittel will continue to ride the one-of-a-kind bike in the peloton, and put the design to the test while contesting sprint finishes.
