Following the launch of their Spring/Summer 2020 collection, Camelbak have added some bonus hydration and everyday carry solutions that are both innovative and smart-looking. Portable hydration is what Camelbak do best, though usually aimed at use during exercise.
With the new Horizon Collection, Camelbak are branching out to the convenient transportation of other, more leisurely beverages. Wine and hot drinks, specifically. Of note is the cool new Camelbak insulated MULTIBEV, plus new eco-friendly additions to the Pivot everyday carry collection.
Camelbak Insulated Horizon Drinkware Collection
The Camelbak Insulated Horizon Drinkware Collection comprises an eight-strong lineup of various insulated beverage holders of different shapes and sizes. All are designed with the outdoors in mind, aimed at thirsty campers, hikers, cyclists, climbers and general adventurists. Each is crafted from stainless steel and vacuum insulated to varying degrees in order to keep your chosen beverage at the perfect temperature. They have a durable powder-coated finish and a non-slip silicone base so they won’t slide right off your wonky camping table.
The Camelbak Insulated Horizon Vessels are BPA, BPS and BPF free so you can drink at ease in the knowledge that your bevvy isn’t contaminated with any nasties. All come with a spill-resistant tri-mode lid through which flow can be adjusted. Both the vessels and lids are dishwasher safe.
Camelbak Insulated Horizon MULTIBEV
First up is the Camelbak Insulated MULTIBEV thermos style beverage carrier. This is a versatile vacuum insulated stainless steel bottle available in 17 oz and 22 oz size options. It’s a 2-in-1 vessel, comprising a flask compartment and a detachable cup.
Not shown is the best feature: The cup has its own silicone roll-and-fold lid that stores inside the Pak Cap. The 17 oz MULTIBEV gets a 12 oz cup while the 22 oz one gets a 16 oz cup.
Next up is the humble Camelbak insulated camp mug, and tumbler, both available in 12 oz. These will keep your chosen consumable hot for four hours and cold for six hours. The Horizon Tumbler is also available in 16 oz, 20 oz and 30 oz sizes. The larger the cup, the longer it will maintain the temperature of your beverage. The 30 oz vessel will keep your drink hot for eight hours and cold for 16.
Everyday wine carry
Now onto the everyday carry solutions for wine. The Camelbak Insulated Horizon Drinkware collection includes a 25 oz wine bottle, which will accommodate a full 750ml bottle of wine. Of course, you don’t have to carry wine but whatever you do chose to carry, the bottle will keep it hot for 25 hours and cold for 35 hours. The wine bottle comes in black, terracotta rose and white. Wine not included.
To accompany the wine bottle is a wine tumbler, shaped more like a chalice than your average camping mug. Its bowl shaped interior is said to make your wine taste better, with a “full aroma and flavor”. This vessel is 12 oz only, and will keep your bevvy hot for four hours and cold for six.
Last but not least is the 10 oz Rocks Tumbler. This will keep your chosen tipple cold for five hours and hot for three.
