You might have already seen the Glendale from recent trade show coverage, but it’s time for them to get official. Officially cool – well, at least if you’re Peter Sagan and have a leather jacket and a muscle car. The rest of us may not be so lucky, but at lest we can pick up a pair of the new 100% Glendales.
Offered in four subdued color ways, these are a far cry from the typical neon colors with super flashy lenses that 100% tends to embrace. However, the Glendale’s still offer a huge cylindrical shield for maximum protection and field of view.
Constructed with all of the usual high end touch points of 100% shades, the Glendales offer Ultra-Grip rubber nose and temple tips with some adjustability through the alternate fit nose piece that’s included. The frame itself is made from TR90 like many other high end performance glasses to offer a light, durable build. Inside the frame is a French-made polycarbonate lens that filters 100% of UV radiation, and there’s also a HiPER lens option available. Lenses are said to be scratch resistant and coated with a HYDROLIO treatment to repel water, oil, and dirt. Small vents have been added to the bottom of the frame to help prevent the lenses from fogging.
Sold with a spare clear lens, and separate nose piece, and ships in a “vintage style hardcase” to hold the glasses and extra lens. Pricing and availability is yet to be announced.
