Summer has officially begun for us in the Northern Hemisphere, and that means new apparel is here. Since no kit is complete without a matching pair of socks, this week’s roundup includes matching jerseys and socks from Ornot, Rapha, and Kirschner. New from Ornot is the Intersection Collection that includes men’s and women’s jerseys and socks. The jerseys get lightweight microfiber sleeves and front, mesh side panels, full-length locking zippers and sleeve grippers: priced at $140: sized from XS – XXL men’s: XS – L women’s. The socks compliment the jerseys in light or dark colours and have breathable knits: priced at $15: sized from S – XL.
Rapha recently launched their Women’s 100 initiative which focuses on getting women out and riding together. Their W100 page lists locations around the world women can go to join in on the fun July. 23. On to the clothes, the lineup consists of a jersey, support bra, cap and socks. The jersey has anti-bacterial properties, four pockets including one zip, rear silicon grips and a full front zip: priced at $115 : sizes XXS – XL. The support bra has a breathable back strap, high compression design and structured cups with removable pads: priced at $75 : sizes XS – L. The socks have a compression blend yarn and durable heel and toe boxes: priced at $20 : sizes XS – L. The cap finishes off the kit with a one size fits all build and anti-bacterial components: priced at $30.
Kirschner
New arrivals from Kirschner include the Pedal II jersey, Campos vest and a sock bundle. Features on the Pedal II jersey include short sleeves (relative to today’s trend), a race cut, 1/4 locking zip front and four rear pockets including one that zips: priced at $116. The Campos vest has a lightweight wind-resistant build, three pockets on a breathable back panel and a full-length locking zip: priced at $116. Both the jersey and vest range in size from S – XXL (converted from the Brazilian P – XGG system). The sock bundle includes three pairs that are one size fits all and have a mesh top and breathable knit sole: priced at… $75.
Sock Guy
SockGuy is at it again with a handful of new patterns for summer. The examples shown above include Rock Lobster, Flamingo, Avocado and I Scream. Rock Lobster is designed for riding with its compression cuffs, mesh uppers and supporting soles: priced at $12. Flamingo is a bit more relaxed and adds some style to any activity with their stretch-to-fit sizing and a 6″ cuff: priced at $12. Avocado and I Scream are SockGuy’s classic multi-purpose socks that have mesh uppers and double-stitched builds. Cuff lengths are 4″ for Avocado and 1″ on I Scream. Both are priced at $11. Socks are available for feet ranging from sizes 5 – 13 men’s and 6 – 14 women’s (S/M & L/XL) *I Scream is limited to S/M (5-9 M : 6-10 W).
