Rolling out of the Thomson stable in Chattahoochee, North Georgia, is the new Titanium Hooch Hardtail MTB built around 27.5″ wheels. Dubbed their “hardcore Ti ripper”, the Hooch gets a progressive geometry aimed squarely at trail riding. Here are the details on geometry, sizing, frame specs, build options and pricing.
Thomson Titanium Hooch Hardtail
The new Thomson Hooch Hardtail is an evolution of their original Elite Titanium 275 trail bike. It is fabricated from 3al 2.5v aircraft grade titanium with custom formed chain and seatstays.
It runs boost (12mm x 148mm) rear axle spacing with internal cable routing through the front triangle and an additional line for a 30.9mm dropper seat post.
Available in sizes small, medium and large, the Hooch gets a 66.5° head tube angle paired with a slack 73.5° seat tube angle. Reach spans a 404mm to 455mm range with 430mm chainstays permitting clearance for 27.5″ x 2.4″ tires.
Those geometry measurements are based around the bike running a 546mm axle-to-crown fork with a 51mm offset. The Hooch is hand welded in Taiwan, where Thomson’s collection of Ti posts and handlebars are made by Titanium Specialists.
