OK- so we’ve only had word and images of four new models (2 road and 2 mountain), but something in Vittoria’s latest press release (after I stopped checking out the pictures) caught my eye:

Available in combinations of 27 lengths, four widths and a multi-length option (for riders with different size feet), Vittoria can also custom-build any shoe and ship quickly because all manufacturing occurs at the same Italian facility.

That’s right- riders with differently-sized feet can mix and match for their own custom pair of Italian cycling shoes.  I’m not great with math, but that makes for thousands of possible combinations.  There’s certainly something to be said for keeping production local.  Click through for the full release and specific model details…

Made entirely in Italy, Vittoria’s shoes range from the most technologically advanced road racing shoes and mountain bike shoes for racers and enthusiasts to casual, trendy shoes for leisure riding.

Available in combinations of 27 lengths, four widths and a multi-length option (for riders with different size feet), Vittoria can also custom-build any shoe and ship quickly because all manufacturing occurs at the same Italian facility.

A few of the models that highlight the 2012 line, which is available now, are below. Also visit www.vittoria-shoes.com (if your Italian is limited to the menu at Pizza Hut, click on the Union Jack at the bottom of the site for English).

You want shoes?  We’ve got shoes!  The Hora is pictured above and the prices of the TBA shoes should be firmed up soon- but be well under $175.  Remember: when it comes to Italian shoes, if you can pull them on, you can pull them off.
