Today, Truvativ just announced their new Atmos line of bars and stems. Calling it their premium line for XC and Trail usage, the Atmos line seems to represent a blend of high performance and durability with an eye towards light weight.
At the top of the line, you’ll find the Atmos Carbon Flat Bar. As the name would suggest, this flat handlebar is made from carbon fiber to get the weight down to 190g at the full 760mm width. The bar has a 9° backsweep, and can be trimmed by up to 40mm per side, making it as narrow as 680mm. The bar even claims to have a “specialty tuned carbon laminate to absorb noise while maintaining stiffness.” This bar will sell for $170.
Along with the carbon bar, there will be both flat and riser bars made from aluminum. These 7k bars are made from 7050 aluminum and each have a 9° backsweep and 760mm width (which can be trimmed up to 30mm per side, for a 700mm width).
The 7k Flat Bar checks in at 250g, and is priced at $70. The 7k Riser bar will be offered in 10mm or 20mm rises, and also weighs 250g and is priced at $70.
Atmos Stem
The perfect companion for the Atmos bars, the new Atmos 7k Stem is the lightest stem in the range (actual weight not provided). The stem can be run in a +/- 6° position, and includes an integrated GoPro mount for running cameras or lights under the bar.
Available in 40-90mm lengths, the stems use T25 fasteners in an attempt to make it so you only need one tool for the entire cockpit (if you’re running all SRAM components). Each stem is priced at $75.
Truvativ Descendant Grips
Along with Atmos, Truvativ is releasing their new Descendant lock-on grips. Designed with a ridged pattern for a soft feel with plenty of grip, the single lock-on style allows for gripping right to the end of your bars.
Measuring in at 133mm long, the grips are offered in six colors for $30 a pair.
