The Urge Archi Deltar is a new ASTM-certified full-face helmet aimed at enduro and eMTB enduro racers. An impressive 90% of the materials used to make this helmet are recycled and it’s reasonably priced at 138€. Let’s take a closer look.
Urge BP Archi Deltar Full Face Enduro Helmet
The Urge BP Archi Deltar is essentially a lighter, better-ventilated version of their downhill-dedicated full face, the Deltar. It shaves around 50g off the Deltar, with a medium weighing in at a claimed 755g.
It is the ASTM-ratified chin bar that sets the two helmets apart, with most of the mesh-filled vents of the Deltar replaced with completely open vents on the Archi Deltar. The main body of the helmet looks pretty much the same, with no additional vents on the top or at the rear.
Urge BP tend to make their bicycle helmets from recycled materials, and so it is the case with the new Archi-Deltar. Ninety percent of the material is recycled, including the EPS, straps, visor and shell. The shell is made from a “re-grinded materials mix”, the straps from recycled PET water bottles, and the visor from recycled ABS. The fit pads are made from an ECO Nylon.
The shell is finished with water-based paint. Urge also use biodegradable and compostable corn bags in their packaging, and their manuals are printed with organic ink.
