Getting ready to hit full send? In that case, you should probably be wearing a full face helmet. And if you’re looking for a new full face that won’t break the bank, Urge Bike Products has just launched their affordable new Deltar.
Aimed at aggressive riding for both MTB and BMX, the Deltar is certified to the CE 1078 standard, but more importantly, it also passes the ASTM F1952 DH helmet standard.
Built with 9 vents on the front, side, and rear of the helmet, the outside of the helmet features a polycarbonate shell in three sizes (S : 53 – 54, M : 55-56, L : 57-58). Two additional child sizes will be offered in September as well.
Urge tends to focus on making their products as ‘green’ as possible, and they claim that the Deltar is made from 85% recycled materials collected from the auto industry. That includes the EPS core, straps made from recycled PET, and the rigid visor made from recycled ABS.
At 820g for a medium, the helmet seems respectably light, and it will be sold in four colors for € 89 (which works out to just under $100 at the current exchange rate).
