The Trailhead is an advanced trail rider’s helmet at beginner mountain biker pricing. The details are pretty straight forward on the new helmet. At just 288g for a medium its weight is competitive.
It features extended coverage in the rear to cover more of the base of your head in a crash and uses industry standard in-mold construction with a polycarbonate shell over EPS foam to absorb impact.
The Trailhead has 18 vents – five forward facing and the rest pulling heat back away from your head.
It will comes in two sizes – S/M & L/XL – to fit heads from about 54-60cm around.
The new helmet includes a removable, clip-on molded plastic visor with Urge’s trademark hole in the middle.
The same dial adjust ring retention system used on their more pricey helmets handles a secure fit.
At just 59€ it substantially cuts both weight & price off of their next up SeriAll in-mold trail helmet.
The Trailhead will come in four colors – white, black, gray & green – and be available to purchase direct from Urge starting in November 2017.
