Some of us at Bikerumor are on our own cross-country tour (hit over 7,500 miles by car today) so we thought this video trailer was worth a watch. It’s been great to see this beautiful country of ours. If this video does anything, let it open your mind to exploring it a bit…

“In 2010, two cyclists from Brooklyn set out to discover local music scenes across the country from the viewpoint of a bicycle. This is what happened.” See all the episodes of their trip here.

I’m definitely fueled by Hateraide – I can’t be impressed by some Brooklyn neo-bohemian art/music students on bikes with support and camera crew. Carry your gear on your bike, be a man. It’s embarrassing to see that kid eat shit like that with such a big shoulder on straight road, maybe he was hung over from partying? It seems like these is a faux hip narcissistic kids trying to glorify their road trip. Oooooo look I can ride my bike… I know I’m a troll Lol

Why is it that all these hipster new kids on the bike need to pat themselves on the back for riding a bicycle. Documentaries, music videos and all sorts of advertising based on hipster kids riding bikes. Good job guys – couldn’t even stay upright could you. I’m over it all. When can we go back to riding bikes without political (critical ass) or social commentary following us along. It’s a bike, just ride it!

The whole bandcycle series tho is pretty sick, they may not have had their packs on their backs, but how many miles did you ride last summer Chipollini?

It’s a freaking video, not deep social commentary or some testosterone fueled cycling contest of manhood. It seems decent enough. There’s nothing in it that’s offensive to cycling sensibilities. Sure, it ruffle the panties of cycling snobs, but who cares?

wasn’t the opening line, we’re not doing anything special, people do it all the time, just nobody knows about it? doesn’t sound like patting themselves on the back to me…sounds like maybe they just wanted to comprehensively document something that had yet to be documented in a truly comprehensive format.

One of the most “beautiful” things about cycling is what insufferable snobs some cyclists can be.

Wow I thought we only had snobbish hardcore cyclists in the UK. I watched this and all I thought was, I love cycling.

Wow! I loved this and want to see more! Looks pretty awesome – great idea, fun times, and even some gnarly road rash & broken bones thrown in for context. Maybe folks do do this sort of thing all the time, but I sure don’t. I like HOME too much to cycle too far away from it. Where can we see more? Is there an actual MOVIE of it?
