Follow along with the Frameworks Racing crew as they head to Hardline to test the forces on Asa Vermette’s frame at one of the hardest downhill races in the world. Working with the team at Faction Bike Studio, Frameworks uses telemetry gear to stress test and analyze the forces on Asa’s frame. With the data gathered, Frameworks and Faction can then more accurately replicate real-world forces — very extreme real-world forces — on the frame in future lab testing.

When analyzed at Faction Bike Studio, the hardest impact forces on Asa’s frame are said to be “similar to a car crash into a wall.” Data like this provides valuable insight as Frameworks transitions its frames from a traditional welded construction to a bonded frame. As one of Frameworks’ team partners, Loctite adhesives are quite literally keeping its bonded frames together, and this data will help them determine just how strong those bonds need to be.
