From CRANK! Communication: “In the world of bike racing, East African cyclists have long lacked the opportunities and resources to race against the world’s leading riders. But cycling is alive and well there, and a growing community is ready to show its strength on an international level.

Enter the Amani Migration Gravel Race. First held in Kenya in June 2021, MGR has been a game changer for some of the top cyclists in East Africa, but the race is only the beginning. Now, local riders are working hard to shift the focus of cycling by inspiring more cyclists both at home and abroad to join them.

The new film MBOGI AMANI (meaning AMANI CREW) shares the growing hopes, dreams, and opportunities of the Amani racing team alongside the many other talented cyclists in East Africa — each of whom are ready to be included in the global cycling scene, with gravel serving as a potential gateway. Go inside the 2021 Amani Migration Gravel Race and meet its riders with this exciting behind-the-scenes film, proudly supported by Brooks England.”
