Happy New Year! We’re back with another video roundup, and this one’s all about fun on wheels. Reece Potter kicks off this week’s post by teaming up with a skilled drone pilot to capture a full run down New Zealand’s Coronet Peak; the impressive and unique angles they shot make this a great watch.

Next up we achieve ‘Pure Fun’ as Cannondale athletes Lachlan Morton and Alex Howes hop on the knobbies and reveal how much they enjoy mountain biking (amidst their other two-wheeled adventures).  Last up we’ll check out an award-winning film from FSA featuring Danica Fife and friends shredding the final laps of their riding season in the Pacific Northwest. This video captures a rite of passage for cold climate riders: Climbing up above the snow line, then shredding down!

Pure Fun

From Cannondale:

We all know that Lachy (Lachlan Morton) and Alex (Howes) are always down for fun…on bikes. The EF Education-Nippo teammate’s achievements are no secret. From Howes recently winning the 144-mile 2021 SBT GRVL, and Lachy’s self-supported Tour de France project ‘The Alt Tour’, these two know how crush on bikes but keep it “Pure Fun”. In that spirit, we followed Lachy and Alex around the Colorado backcountry (up to the build-up of Pikes Peak Apex) with a few Cannondale Scalpel HT’s and documented moments of riding, ripping, racing, connecting, hanging, and simply enjoying the purity of the sport. This is Pure Fun.”

The Gifford Pinchot National Forest Ride

From FSA:

Bicycle components manufacturer Full Speed Ahead (FSA), working with filmmaker Spencer Johnson and athlete Danica Fife produced “Shoulder Season,” which first went live on November 26, 2021 has now won the title of “Exceptional Merit” at the WRPN Women’s International Film Festival for 2021.”

“Shoulder Season is an homage to (when) the waning days of summer turn to longer shadows, racing season is over and there is nothing to be had but fun on your bike before winter sets in, closing trails down in most parts of the Pacific Northwest, where the video takes place. While chasing the fleeting moments of biking season, three friends find themselves in the heart of The Gifford Pinchot National Forest for a ride they will never forget.”
