This week’s video roundup starts with a 300km endurance ride around Scotland’s Cairngorms Loop, and poses the question: Is endurance riding about enjoying the experience, or aiming to break records… or can you achieve both?
From there we’ll check out some high alpine freeride lines with Vincent Pernin, see Lil’ Robbo’s triumphant return to pinballing through loamy corners, and watch Dylan Crane’s well-rounded goodbye video to Knolly Bikes. Last up, Logan Penberg gives us a glance at BMX’s current degree of street and handrail destruction with some Texas-sized tricks.
Mind Over Mountains
From Salsa Cycles:
“You might think that chasing a course record takes a lot of head-down pedaling. Eyes glued to your GPS device. Tuning everything out but cadence and nutrition. Annie Evans and Huw Oliver prove that’s not necessarily true on Scotland’s 300-kilometer Cairngorms Loop. Their time trial attempts are equal parts effort and appreciation for the nature that surrounds them on the course. This short film captures it all in beautiful detail.”
Back to the Classics
From Bluegrass:
“Bourg St. Maurice is an iconic paradise for mountain biking, known for its steep and fun trails. Our local rider Vincent Pernin never stops exploring, in search of the nicest lines to ride. The ones he found take us back to the classic freeride lines we all love.”

Return of the Robbo
From Nukeproof:
“A long, long time ago in a forest far away from his home Lil Robbo experienced possibly the calmest leg break ever whilst filming #ScoutinAbout 3 (It was horrible, but he was just so calm about it). Since then, the youth from Warrington has been in a semi cryogenic state being rebuilt. After 9 months he’s completed COD (a computer game for folk that thought he was talking fish), but more importantly his sparrow leg is welded back together and completed rehab. After a few months pounding the miles on his Digger Gravel Vessel in an effort to regain what little fitness he had before, he’s back and up to his usual tricks… getting wild in the Cheshire loam and just making you want to pick up your bike and ride.”

Farewell Video: Dylan Crane
From Knolly Bikes:
“After eight incredible years, we want to wish Factory rider, Dylan Crane, all the best as he embarks on his next adventure. We’ll miss his back flips and epic travel stories, and look forward to seeing where his next chapter takes him.”

BMX – Bigger in Texas
From Wethepeople:
“Wethepeople AM Logan Penberg lives up to the legend of everything being bigger in Texas. No shortage of huge rails, big spots and precision moves in this one. Logan yet again proves why he’s one of the wildest AM’s out there.”
