If you have a Wahoo Elemnt computer and are ready for a home screen refresh, get your download ready. Wahoo rolled out an update to their Element line of cycling computers. The update, adequately named ‘Ready to Ride,’ aims for the user interface and home screen.
Since the Wahoo Elemnt V2 computers launch, Wahoo has updated the units, adding experience and functionality. The latest updates include Summit Freeride, Summit Segments, support for off-road routes with Trailforks, and the ability to complete workouts outdoors via Wahoo SYSTM. Now, Wahoo updates the computer navigation, making it easier to use.
Wahoo Ready to Ride Update
The latest update to the Wahoo Elemnt computers is called Ready to Ride. The update is a new menu screen for Elemnt bike computers. This update provides users with fast, easy-to-understand access to the frequently needed pre-ride functions like the sensor menu, route loading, and battery status.
Why a New Menu?
Wahoo is constantly gathering feedback from pro athletes and everyday users. A common thread was the menu, emphasizing quicker access to critical features. The revised user interface makes it easy to load a route, plan a workout, or check that the correct sensors are paired.
Eye on Electronic Shifting
Nothing is worse (or embarrassing) than showing up to a group ride or participating in one and having your shifting out of batteries. As part of the Ready to Ride update, the battery status for electronic shifting systems (Shimano Di2, SRAM eTAP) is now a data field. Users can show this data field on any workout screen if they need to make route adjustments.
Post-ride, you’ll also receive a concise ride summary screen if the Elemnt and any paired sensor need a charge.
What Units Can Use the Update?
The full Ready to Ride ELEMNT updates will be available on the Elemnt Roam V2 and Elemnt Bolt V2. Original Elemnt Bolt and Roam owners will have a restructured menu, maintaining the existing theme as the previous models.
To get your Ready to Ride update, open the Wahoo Elemnt app and follow the prompts.
