Wheels Manufacturing adds a rainbow of US-made direct-mount MTB chainrings for anyone looking to improve drivetrain durability, and spice up their trail bike at the same time. For now, they only come in SRAM’s common 3-bolt direct mount standard, but Wheels Mfg offers separate Shimano- and SRAM-specific narrow-wide tooth profiles, so you get perfect smooth running and maximum chain retention. You only have to decide how colorful your bike wants to be!
Wheels Manufacturing direct mount mountain bike chainrings
CNC-machined in Colorado, Wheels Mfg created their Direct Mount Chainrings for mountain bikers looking for the best possible durability, the smoothest-running drivetrains, and dependable chain retention.

So instead of a one-shape-fits-all approach, Wheels developed separate narrow-wide tooth profiles optimized for either SRAM T-type or Shimano HyperGlide+ chains. The end result means the T-type one also works for SRAM Eagle, as well as all 9-, 10- & 11-speed chains. And the HG+ one also works well with KMC’s 12-speed chains.

For now, sizes are limited to just 30, 32 & 34T. But Wheels Manufacturing calls these 3-bolt rings their “first wave” of a “much larger expansion” in chain ring offerings. They tell us to expect more size/tooth-count options and more mounting standard options, coming soon.
