At Bikerumor, we’re pretty big fans of Enduro and Super D racing, so we were happy to hear that the Ashland Mountain Challenge is alive and well, with X-Fusion Suspension recently announcing their title sponsorship of the event. Previously a 12 mile Super D, the AMC will be run as a true Enduro style event this year with racers riding more stages and trails than previous years.

When asked about their plans for the race, AMC race director Bill Roussel had this to say, “Our goal is to grow with the current explosion of Enduro racing, as well as provide racers with more time of their bike and a better overall experience. Having X-Fusion as our title sponsor this year is very special to me. This is a suspension company that I have been testing with for the last 3 years and I continue to be blown away by their commitment to performance, quality and reliability.”

In 2013, racers will ride both the eastern and western ridges of Mt. Ashland – Pros and Cat 1s on one ridge, while the other riders race on the other. In true Enduro style, riders will have to climb to get to the start of each stage but the climbs will not be timed.

Title Sponsor X-Fusion will be accompanied by event sponsors e*thirteen by the hive, Ashland Mountain Adventures, Kali, WTB, Smith Optics, Clif Bar, Specialized, Decline, Ibis, ProGold Lubricants, STanding Stone Brewing Co (Yay, beer!), and HWY 68 Hillbillies.
