Prologo has a few new saddles at the distributors, the Plus line. The essence of these are the careful attention paid to contact points. ‘Plus’ refers a recessed channel down the center that keeps the pressure off your yarbles and yarblettes. I’ve featured a couple road saddles here and a saddle for downhill MTB after the break.
Above is the rounded saddle, Scratch Pro Plus with a carbon fiber injection base, together with the semi-round saddle, Choice Max Plus with a high strength polyamide base. Both feature a microfiber cover and a nickel + titanium alloy rail. The Scratch Pro has a couple different sizes, 278mm x 134 mm (242g), and 278mm x 143mm (258g), whereas the Choice Max Plus comes in a 271 x 130mm (234g). Both benefit from ‘active shape’ padding – basically, the padding has different densities and stiffness throughout to serve specific functions for the rider.

The rounded Scratch Pro X20 saddle is not part of the ‘Plus’ line, but is great in itself. With a sizing of 260 x 134mm, it weighs in at 216g with a nickel + titanium alloy rail and a carbon fiber injection base. Being designed for downhill MTB, Scratch Pro X20 features a hefty slide control system to keep the rider from slipping forward. Also, it has a reinforced rear section to absorb lean-damage from trees and other environmental kickstands when propped on them.
You should be able to pick up Prologo’s new line through QPB distribution in America. Click to view them at Prologo’s website.
