Niner loosed the images and specs for their new Jet 9 RDO just prior to the big show in Germany, but we knew they’d have something else worth seeing.
While this won’t be a stock option anytime soon, it is supposedly available as an upgrade option for about $700. The Fox iCD electronic lockout takes $300 of that from your wallet, the rest is labor at Niner.
Now, about that battery…
The Di2 battery required to power the system will also need to be purchased, so this is really a system for those that want the latest and greatest. Niner’s operations folks say they’re working on an internal battery that’ll sit in the seat tube, but for now, the Di2 battery is fed into the top of the downtube through the lower headtube hole.
Controls and wires are pretty tidy considering they had to drill holes in the frame to accept the wires.
Unofficial word is another Niner employee drilled his frame to run a Rockshox Reverb Stealth through the seat tube, but we haven’t seen photos and it’s pretty much certain you’ll void any hopes of making a warranty claim if you do it to your own.
Like the duo tone moondust and orange paint scheme? It can be yours if you order up a One 9. Moondust is now also available on the Air 9 Carbon as a duotone scheme with gloss carbon.
