Fizik Arione Versus padded braided carbon fiber road bike saddle

Fizik has just added padded versions of their three braided carbon rail saddles. The new Versus Braided takes the super lightweight construction of the Arione, Antares and Aliante and adds a decent amount of padding with a relieved center channel for proper blood flow.

Here’s the quick breakdown from Fizik:

Arione Versus Braided (209g) – The flat and narrow Arione shape meets an ergonomic channel spanning the length of the saddle. It is available in two colour options both black and white/gloss red.

Antares Versus Braided (179g) – The flat and wide Antares meets an ergonomic channel spanning the length of the saddle. It is available in two colour options both black and white/gloss red.

Aliante Versus Braided (219g) – The waved and wide Aliante comes meets an ergonomic channel spanning the length of the saddle. It will be available in two colour options both black and white/gloss red.

We just received one in for testing, as well as the women’s Vesta in the new Flouro Highlighter range. In the meantime, check pics of each after the break…

Why do people need padding on the saddle when you already have it in your pants? Saddle just needs a little give.

“padding” should not be in the pants. chamois were never for “padding”. it’s to avoid chafing. saddles should have a little bit of padding.
unless you were referring to your own ass.

Glad to see fizik jumping on board with the relief channel. That’s always been the deal breaker for me.
