New DeFeet Thermeator winter cycling socksJust in time for the coldest parts of winter, the new DeFeet Thermeator offers an insulating, quick drying sock that’s about 30% lighter than a comparably knit wool sock. They say it’s also a bit thinner for less bulk inside your shoes.

The yarn is two thirds THERMOLITE polyester, a hollow core fiber designed to trap heat. The rest is Nylon and 2% Lycra for durability and stretch. Cuff height is 6″, retail is $14.99 a pair and they come with blue, pink, gray or red color accents.

Their Wooleator Blaze is the best sock I have ever used on winter MTB rides. Expect these are nice, too…

Nice looking sock but it would be better if they offered an over the calf version for really cold weather riding. I thew away a couple pairs of their Woolly Boolies because they would not stay up.

Woolie Boolies are my favorite Sock, I like the thickness, they make long rides more comfy. I wear them year round. This sock looks like an excellent choice for those with wool allergies.

By far my favorite sock brand.
