Thanks to reader Finoulst for the tip!
Forty five years ago, Eddy Merckx won his first Tour de France by a staggering 16 minute margin. To celebrate his achievement in 1969, and his 69th birthday, Eddy will be releasing a new bike soon. Until then, all we have is this teaser…. We think it’s a gravel grinder fat bike, with disc brakes, and fender mounts, but you can leave your more reasonable ideas in the comments.
Now that Tour season is upon us, Urban Cottage Industries is launching a limited edition collection of five prints of Tour legends. Drop past the break to see them and learn more…
Images of Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault, Jaques Anquetil, Louison Bobet and Gino Bartali are available.
Each print was created using the “half-tone process on Original Heidelberg presses”, and is numbered and embossed. Price for a basic poster is £19.20 (Inc. VAT), but an image mounted in a solid oak, white ash, or black sapele frame costs another £40.80.
You can order one here.
