Long a dominant force in cycling, Sidi Sport has had a lot of competition in recent years as more companies have stepped up their game to produce high performing, well-made cycling shoes. Sidi themselves have mostly made small iterative updates to their line for the last 2 or 3 years, but still can be found on the likes of last year’s Tour de France winner Chris Froome and XC World Champion Nino Schurter. Now to offer a bit of the custom look that the sponsored pros get, Sidi has introduced a new way to personalize most of their performance and premium shoes with more detail color options. Take a look across the fold at which shoes will get a personalized touch, plus a look at a Froome limited edition shoe…
A wide range of colorful Sidi parts and accessories are now available at through your local bike shop, to come up with an individual look for your shoes. Several of the options are so fast and easy to change that Sidi imagines some riders will even swap out parts to match your cycling kit.
One nice thing about the colorful bits is that they are available not just for the top-of-the-line shoes. On the road you can swap out straps and Boa dials on the Wire and Ergo 4, or on for the trail with the Drako and Dragon 4. The road Kaos and Genius 5 add in ratcheting buckle customization, also available for the mountain bike Cape and Eagle 5s.
To celebrate Chris Froome’s Tour win with Sky last year, Sidi have also put out a limited edition Blu Sky color of the Wire shoes he rode to that victory. They’re not likely to need much customization, but can also be found through any authorized Sidi retailer.
