We got a call from pro rider Jeremiah Bishop last week with the scoop on his Blue Ridge Cyclocross Cup series in Virginia.  Rather than racing for your local team, the series is run as a league, and you race for your city.  No changing teams, and no shenanigans, just straight up hometown rivalries.
Heck, there aren’t even categories…everyone races at the same time.  And apparently, this is pretty popular, and there’s something for everyone!  Leagues are awarded points for First Time racers, Spectators, Racing and Place…and other things not yet disclosed.
All races are Tuesdays at 6pm and run for 40 minutes.  The first one is tomorrow, September 15, and has “euro-sized stairs”, so bring your runnin’ legs.  Hit ‘more’ for the flyer…
Click here for a map to this Tuesday’s race location (9/15/09).  Kyle (from Simple Straps) is helping to put these on…should be fun!
