Scott’s new for 2009 Addict CX RC (shown above, click to enlarge) is a 986g racing machine.  By comparison, a Serotta Ti ‘cross frameset weighs about 1850g and a Blue CXC carbon ‘cross bike tips in at 1422g.  So, this is a seriously light bike for a ‘cross racer, made all the more so by the carbon Ritchey wheelset, SRAM Red Carbon derailleurs, FSA SL-K Carbon crankset, a carbon-railed Selle Italia SLR seat and Tektro carbon ‘cross brakes.  The frame keeps lean by using Scott’s IMP (Integrated Molding Process) carbon and an integrated seatmast. ÂÂ
Thomas “Frischi”, who helped develop this frame, will be officially introducing this bike at the Cross Vegas race at Interbike, and Scott will formally announce their title sponsorship of the Scott-Swisspower team.  Read “more” for all the specs and photos of their entire ‘Cross line…

2009 SCOTT ADDICT CX:
The model shown below is the Addict CX.  By dropping the RC moniker, it also drops down to an Ultegra group, Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels and fewer carbon components (though still all top shelf parts).  The photo shown is misleading, the U.S. version of the CX will use a conventional seattube, but photos were not available yet.
2009 SCOTT CX TEAM:
The CX Team gets Scott’s 7005 Alloy frame and house-brand carbon fork (versus Ritchey straight carbon forks on the Addicts), a mixed Shimano / Truvativ drivetrain and Mavic CXP rims mounted to Shimano Ultegra hubs.
2009 SCOTT CX COMP:
Same frame and fork as the CX Team, but slightly lower spec.
