Oh man…George, I was rootin’ for you yesterday during the Paris-Roubaix.
I thought for sure you would catch the lead break after that puncture.  I really wanted to see you win.
So, as I was looking over your Twitter stream just to see how things were for you after such a disappointing turn of events, I found the link to your Hincapie Denim launch from last week that we’d overlooked (perhaps intentionally).
I’m all for entrepreneurial endeavors, I’ve certainly had my share, and you’ve got some rockin’ eponymous cycling clothing, so I’ll assume the jeans of the same high quality.  No judgement on the items will be passed until we’ve had a chance to see them and wear them.ÂÂ
But here’s the thing:
This picture.  By itself, understandable as a marketing gesture toward the non-cyclist fashion crowd, and likely to appeal to women that buy  jeans for their cycling husbands  / boyfriends / lovers.
BUT, combined with the loungey cougar growl music, it just sends me straight to Saturday Night Live mindset, and I can no longer take them seriously.
Have you seen the Bad Idea Jeans skit?  It’s old, but we’re about the same age, so perhaps. If not, just hit “more” and you can watch it. It’s hilarious.
Then, watch The Cougar Den, also posted after the break.  I think your web guy found the sound from this skit…or maybe Garage Band.  It’s not quite as funny…but then, it’s more recent Saturday Night Live, so what are you gonna do?
