Zigo Leader X1 Carrier Bicycle

Zigo is introducing two new products for carrying your precious cargo around by bike or foot.  Coming in Spring 2010, the Zigo Leader X1 (above) is a single-child carrier for those parents that said “Oh my God, one is enough” and don’t need the extra seat of the original X2.  It’s more maneuverable, which helps in tight urban environments, and just in case you change your mind (intentionally or otherwise), the bicycle part is interchangeable with the X2’s front seating system so you can grow it along with your family.  The bikes are available in 3- or 7-speed and retail for $1,400 (X2).

They’ve also come up with The Mango X2, a versatile bike trailer/stroller/jogger for two kids.  It’s pretty sharp looking, but jzou cont hava the Mango….until Spring 2010.  Hit more to see it…

Zigo Mango X2 Stroller Trailer Jogger

Zigo describes the Mango thusly: “The Mango is our all-inclusive Action Stroller/Trailer that is ready to go out-of-the-box. It is equipped to be a stroller or a traditional bicycle trailer immediately, and we’ve also included our popular Environmental Control System (Mesh Screen and Drizzle Guard). This is the easiest and quickest way for active parents to join the ZIGO family! Also compatible with our existing Jogger Kit to convert into a Jogger.”

Unfortunately, it’s not compatible with their LeaderLink system, which basically means you can’t stick it on the front of your bike.  However, the child compartment on the X2 and X1 detach and have built-in front wheels, so you can use that as a stroller/jogger, too, just not a trailer.

Now, please enjoy this slice of Mango pie:
