Confused about what headset standard you need for your bike? Want to customize your headset and pick different colors? How about just checking prices for your next upgrade? If you answered yes to any of those, then you need to head on over to the new and constantly improving Cane Creek Headset Finder!

It’s a simple idea, so why hasn’t anyone created this before? Well, imagine just how many different frames there are in the world, and how fast specifications change. In addition there have been certain frames in the past that had a custom headset made for the bike, with a different name or look than a necessary replacement. Now try to create a program that will catalog all the bikes, and be able to properly recommend the necessary headset for the bike. Currently the database contains the necessary information for 2,423 bikes! Cane Creek is also in the process of adding specific notes to frames that have odd headsets, simplifying the whole process even further!

Cane Creek feels that by offering a  clear and easy method of identifying the proper headset, they will decrease frustration in consumers and mechanics alike, and make it easier for someone who thinks they may like to upgrade one of the most critical parts on a bike. The finder will come in especially handy when dealing with tapered headsets, due to the fact that there are currently over 20 different combinations for tapered headset set ups. In addition to the headset finder, Cane Creek is also making life easier on shops by breaking headset sales down into the top and bottom half of a headset. This makes it unnecessary to stock every headset combination on the market, and allows further customization.

Operation is straight forward, simply enter the make, model, and year of the bike you are trying to fit, and answer a few questions about what fork you are using. The finder will then spit out what headsets are compatible, and even offer color options where available.
