twin-six-dickys-death-march-t-shirt

A while back, Extanz.com posted a list of the 50 most influential bicycle blogs, and we’re proud to say Bikerumor was sittin’ pretty at 20 even without considering our Facebook fans, likers or whatever we’re supposed to call them these days (they’ve since been added to the list).

Twin Six noticed, too, and offered to send some love.  Today, we received that love: A Bad Idea Racing t-shirt celebrating the illustrious career of Rich “Team Dicky” Dillen (whose blog, for the record, came in at a still respectable 36th on the aforementioned list).  Oh, the irony. Personally, and all in good sport, I’d like to see this ranking of online social hierarchy mirror our placement during the closing ceremonies at this year’s Breck Epic…I’ve been drinking training hard, Dicky.  But, from the looks of things, you’ve been doing the same.  Of course, you do have the mental edge of official team kit, also from Twin Six, which we currently lack.

Along these lines, I’ll go ahead and put this out there: Bikerumor will be presenting the first unofficial and totally unsanctioned “Bikerumor Media Cup” race within a race at the 2010 Breck Epic.  So, if you’re a media-type person and you’re racing  the BE this year, I might already have your name and affiliation from Mike, which means sometime over the next couple weeks I’ll be reaching out to you with more details.  Just in case Mike forgot about you, if you can loosely be considered “media”, a category which Rich Dillen and the Dark Lord fall into for our purposes, and you’re racing in the ’10 Breck Epic, contact me.  Prizes (sponsors are welcome *cough-Twin Six*) will be given out, but the real glory comes with your first sip of liquid hops from the official Bikerumor Media “Cup”.
