One Ghost Industries leaked this show of their 2011 downhill bike. Not too many details on the frame, but spec will be as follows:

  • Boxxer Ride
  • Azonic wheels
  • Intense ITS tires
  • full Shimano Saint drivetrain
  • SLX brakes
  • Candy Components headset/stem/bar/pedals
  • E-13 crank and SRS+ guide
  • Elka Stage 5 shock
  • THE seat and grips

They’ll be available August 1, and word is they’re working on a new 29er, too.

I had a chance to ride one of these and the suspension and geometry feel great however their is a major design flaw and the thing feels like you are pedaling a 60lb wet noodle. The initial pedal stokes have do much feedback it feels like you are pedaling through whoops.

Curious which bike you rode and on what trail. it does have an “undulation” feel if you are trying to climb with it but pretty much all “VPP” type bikes and anything over 6″ of travel do also.
