Building on the introduction of their first-ever cycling specific hydration packs earlier this year, Osprey just leaked (poor choice of words, I know) their new Viper model.
The Viper gets a more refined reservoir design more simplified “reservoir to pack” interface that let’s it slide in and out of the pack easier. Marc reviewed the Osprey Raptor earlier this year, and Rob and I both had one on test and loved it…personally, we didn’t find any issue with the way the bladder went in and out its dedicated compartment on the pack, but hey, we’re all for incremental improvement.
Four sizes are offered, ranging from 250in³ to 800in³ with 2L and 3L reservoirs, internal organization, sunglasses pocket and Osprey’s helmet lock contraption. Larger packs get side compression straps to manage their load.
